Some days you can run at what should be an easy pace and it just feels hard. Today was one of those days for me. When I woke up I was optimistic because my Oura ring was showing I had a great resting heart rate and HRV last night. Usually that means I’ll feel pretty good during my workout. Instead, I felt like I was running through sand and my heart rate during a fairly easy pace run showed it. On top of that of sore legs, my chest was sore so even just swinging my arms hurt. Got it done though!

For my BG management today, I started running without eating anything or adjusting my basal. About a mile into my run, my blood sugar started to drop rapidly, so I had about 1.5 grams of carbs. I didn’t do anything special the rest of the run, just kept an eye on it. Post run, my BGs looked like they were going to drop into perfect range and they did for about 5 minutes before they started to spike again. At 7:20, I checked my sensor and it was reading 167 (after a 111 blood test 20 mins prior)! I checked with a blood test again and was actually 131. Still rising quickly but not nearly as quickly as my sensor was indicating. So I decided to pull my sensor a day early* because I was having some issues with it yesterday too and I had a feeling it was on it’s last legs. The silver lining, it’s also my infusion site change day…which means…NAKED SHOWER DAY!! What an unexpected, pleasant surprise! Happy Friday!

*Tomorrow is supposed to be sensor change day for me.
